Rivets and metal snaps really lift a bag into another bracket, they definitely make things look more high end and give strength. The right press machine rivet makes bonding materials simple. You just have to remember to use it on some sort of protective surface, not your best cutting mat. Again these can be eye wateringly expensive but mine cost about a tenner and has been fine for what I need. You can buy cutting dies for the press, very useful for making holes in leather, vinyl etc but I bought one of the Japanese screw punches with a variety of size punches and have found this very useful. Lots of people on the FB websites rate the Trimming Shop but they are more expensive. ![]() I’m waiting for a bag of 9mm double cap rivets to finish my latest bag and am hoping they arrive today as I love a rivet to add a bit of bling. It’s not the most intuitive but they respond to emails and are very helpful.
